PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which allows for reduction of the circuit scale, by reducing the complexity of an aberration detector.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus has an aberration detector (125) for detecting the aberration in a plurality of directions radially around a predetermined pixel of an image, area control sections (117-119) performing directional conversion of the image of area in the plurality of directions, so as to intensify the plurality of directions for detecting the aberration to at least one direction, and an image processing section (107) for correcting the image based on the aberration detected by the aberration detector. The aberration detector detects aberration in the plurality of directions, by detecting the aberration in any direction, out of at least one intensified direction, for the images in the plurality of directions subjected to directional conversion by the area control sections.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
