The method involves determining number of games to be started using an operating element (7) i.e. game number selection button. A symbol play device (4) is activated by a control unit after actuation of another operating element (8) connected with the control unit, where the latter operating element is designed as a game start button. Verification is made whether a gain symbol combination displayed by the symbol play device reaches a gain value for each selected game. The gain symbol combination for each game is accumulated in one of credit counters during determination of the gain value.
