<p>The present invention relates to the control of an adaptive cruise control system for a motor vehicle, in which a computer of said control system transmits alert requests (R1, R2) to a dashboard computer by way of a CAN bus. According to the invention, after receiving an alert request (R1, R2), the dashboard computer generates an acknowledgement message (A1, A2) and transmits said acknowledgement message (A1, A2) over the CAN bus to the computer of the control system. The computer of the control system monitors the reception of the acknowledgement message (A1, A2).</p> |
