PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance practical use of an air conditioner for a vehicle for dehumidifying by a heat pump cycle.SOLUTION: The air conditioner for the vehicle includes: a vapor compression type refrigerating cycle 10 structured capable of switching between a heat pump cycle without dehumidifying for heating blown air blown into a vehicle cabin without dehumidifying it and a heat pump cycle with dehumidifying for dehumidifying and heating the blown air; a window glass surface relative humidity detection means 45 for detecting a detection value required to calculate a window glass surface relative humidity; and a control means 50 for executing switching control between the heat pump cycle without dehumidifying and the heat pump cycle with dehumidifying. The control means 50 selects the heat pump cycle without dehumidifying when the window glass surface relative humidity is lower than a predetermined threshold value and selects the heat pump cycle with dehumidifying when the window glass surface relative humidity is higher than the predetermined threshold value. |
