PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail driving control device which properly performs speed correction processing and stop processing in response to a speed deviation, by surely detecting a state where a tread speed is not synchronized with a handrail speed.SOLUTION: A passenger conveyor is separately provided with a tread driving machine 5 and a handrail driving machine 11. When performing driving control of the tread driving machine and the handrail driving machine based on the tread speed and the handrail speed, a tread speed detector outputs two tread speed pulse signals different in a phase as a pulse signal corresponding to the tread speed, and a handrail speed detector outputs two handrail speed pulse signals different in a phase as a pulse signal corresponding to the handrail speed, and determines a corrected speed command value so that the handrail speed and the tread speed coincide with each other when determining that a speed detecting result is normal based on the respective pulse signals, and also has a comparing control unit 30 for controlling driving of the handrail driving machine. |
