Disclosed is a liquid evaporation-type cooling device comprised of an evaporator (1) which boils and evaporates an evaporative liquid for low-temperature energy by reducing the pressure, a condenser (2) which condenses vapor, an indirect heat exchanger (6) for low-temperature energy on the side of a load (14), a heat exchanger (11) for cooling purposes, circulation means (5, 7) for low-temperature energy used for circulation between the evaporative liquid for low-temperature energy of the evaporator and the indirect heat exchanger for low-temperature energy, and circulation means (10, 12) for cooling purposes used for circulation between the evaporative liquid for cooling purposes of the condenser and the heat exchanger for cooling purposes. A roots blower (20) is provided within a vapor duct (19) extending from the evaporator to the condenser, and an open/close valve (23) is provided in a bypass vapor passage (22) which is provided in the vapor duct (19) and which bypasses the condenser. In winter, the roots blower (20) is used to generate electric power so that energy is saved. When a pressure difference obtained by subtracting a condenser (2)-side pressure (Pc) from an evaporator (1)-side pressure (Pe) is equal to or more than a predetermined value (Pa), the roots blower (20) is rotated by the pressure of vapor passing through the vapor duct (19), to obtain regenerative energy via an electric motor (21) and an inverter (32). |
