The vehicle has a passenger compartment connected with environment in air exchange. A friction clutch is operatively arranged in a drive train between an internal combustion engine and a transmission. A control device detects and handles a load of the friction clutch. The ventilation of the passenger compartment is controlled depending on the load and temperature of the friction clutch. The friction clutch is designed as a non-automatic friction clutch and a friction clutch that is actuated by an actuator and controlled by the control device.
