<p>The contact pin (01a) for use on a lighting means, comprises a main body (02), which has a recess in which a wire is contacted to the lighting means. The main body comprises a contact section at an end of a contact section (07) facing away from the lighting means, and a lighting section at an end of a mounting section (03) facing towards the lighting means. The lighting section is brought into the recess on the lighting means. The mounting section is limited through a stop overcoming over the circumference of the main body. The stop is formed by three or six raised areas (05a) that project over the circumference of the main body. The recess for the reception of the contact elements is formed through a centric bore. An insertion bevel and/or a rivet base is present on the side of the mounting section. The wall of the rivet base comprises discontinuous wall strength and/or discontinuous material hardening with debilitations. The free end of the raised areas that arrive at the stop surface of the lighting means, where a piece overcomes over the mounting section. The side of the raised areas has a spherical form.
