PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary tool for cutting chip removing machining, a loose top and a basic body therefor.SOLUTION: The rotary tool includes a basic body (1) and a loose top (2). The loose top includes a coupling part (22) to be attached to the jaw (26) between two torque-transferring drivers (27a, 27b) in the front end of the basic body. A centering pin (24) protruding axially rearward from the coupling part (22) is inserted into the center hole (29) opened the bottom (28) of the jaw (26). By means of a radial screw (31), the pin (24), and thereby the whole of loose top, is turned so that two male members (32a, 32b) included in the coupling part (22) are inserted into corresponding seats (39) inside the drivers (27a, 27b), to lock the loose top axially. |
