PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the accurate switching of an attitude of a latch, even when a coiled spring with a long overall dimension is used as an urging means.SOLUTION: This sliding assist mechanism includes: a pull-in unit 6 which comprises a case 1 attached to either a body 7 or a mobile object A, a slider 2 slidably arranged in the case, the latch 4 capable of switching between the stand-by attitude of being supported by the slider and locked to a portion corresponding to the case and the pull-in attitude of being unlocked therefrom, and the urging means 3; and the operation member 8 which is attached to the other one of the body and the mobile object, and which switches the latch 4 to the pull-in attitude from the stand-by one or switches it to the stand-by attitude from the pull-in one. When the latch is switched to the pull-in attitude from the stand-by one, the sliding assist mechanism enables the mobile object to be moved a second position from a first one on the body side via the operation member by an urging force accumulated in the urging mechanism. In the slider 2, the urging means 3 is arranged on an undersurface side, and attachment means 25a and 35a for the urging means are provided at sliding-direction one end. |
