PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reinforce the rear part of a vehicle body against collision on the rear side in a simple structure having fewer components.SOLUTION: The rear part of a vehicle body 10 comprises right and left rear side frames 14, 16, and a front cross member 13 and a rear cross member 17, which are laid over between the right and left rear side frames 14, 16, and includes a bar 18 and a bracket 27. The rear cross member includes arm supports 17c, 17c, provided at a central part 17a lower than both ends 17b, 17b in the widthwise direction of the vehicle, for supporting lower arms of right and left rear suspensions. The bar is curved to project downward of the vehicle body to couple the individual central parts 13b, 17a of the front and rear cross members. The bracket permits the rear end 18b of the bar to be attached to the rear cross member while enclosing the rear end from below the vehicle body. |
