Disclosed is a method for producing a battery electrode having a structure wherein an electrode mixture layer containing an electrode active material is supported by an electrode collector. The method comprises a step (step S10) wherein an electrode mixture paste is prepared by mixing an electrode active material into a predetermined solvent, a step (step S20) wherein microbubbles are introduced/dispersed into the thus-prepared electrode mixture paste, thereby obtaining a low-density electrode mixture paste having a paste density lower than that before introduction of the microbubbles, and a step (step S30) wherein an electrode mixture layer is formed by applying the low-density electrode mixture paste onto an electrode collector.
