PURPOSE: An electric heater control device is provided to prevent overheat or fire at the electric heater by easily sensing the overcurrent, the leakage current, and the short of the electric heater. CONSTITUTION: An electric heater(10) is operated with driving power. A photodiode(20) for a trigger outputs an on/off signal for supplying or blocking the driving power to the electric heater. A power driver(30) is comprised of a triac and an SCR(Silicon Controlled Rectifier). A temperature sensor(40) senses the temperature of the electric heater. An overcurrent sensor(50) senses the overcurrent state of the electric heater. An electric leakage sensor(60) senses the leakage of the electric heater. A disconnection/short detector(70) detects the disconnection/short state of the electric heater. |
