PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new deep red phosphor which emits light at high efficiency excited with light from near ultraviolet of a wavelength of 350-500 nm to a visible range, by changing a composition ratio of constitutional elements of 3.5MgO-0.5MgF-GeO:Mnor by substituting with another element.SOLUTION: This deep red phosphor is represented by the formula: (x-a)MgO-aMe1O-yMgF-bMe2Hal-(1-c)GeO-cMtO:zMn(wherein 1.5<x≤4, 0<y≤2, 0<z≤0.1, 0<a<1.5, 0<b≤2, 0<c<0.5, Me1 and Me2 are at least one selected from among Ca, Sr, Ba and Zn, Hal is at least one selected from among F and Cl, and Mt is at least one selected from among Ti, Sn and Zr). |
