PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump water heater performing control to reduce rotational frequency of an air heat exchanger fan when temperature of air exchanging heat with a refrigerant in an air heat exchanger is high compared to when the air temperature is low and capable of maintaining heat release effects at a high level without increasing the size of a control part while preventing the overload state of a compressor.SOLUTION: The heat pump water heater includes the compressor 1, a water refrigerant heat exchanger 2, a decompression device 3, the air heat exchanger 4, the air heat exchanger fan 5 and the control part 50 for performing operation control of the heat pump water heater. When outside air temperature is high, the air heat exchanger fan 5 is controlled to reduce the rotational frequency compared to when the outside air temperature is low to prevent the overload state of the compressor 1. A control part fan 51 for releasing heat generated by an electrical component constituting the control part 50 is provided and operated in accordance with the outside air temperature. |
