PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device of detecting deterioration of engine oil for detecting deterioration of engine oil, in real time, while using a common pH meter.SOLUTION: When water in a fuel has a concentration equal to or more than a prescribed value and the amount of water having been mixed in engine oil is equal to or more than a prescribed amount, pH of the engine oil is measured by means of a pH meter. This allows a common pH meter to be used and deterioration of the engine oil to be detected, in real time, since complicated operation, such as titration, is dispensed with. |
