PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make no difference between a color representing a character intended by a user and a color to be displayed.SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus has: an input part for inputting document data; a data storing part for storing data including a predetermined character code; a data analyzing part for analyzing whether the document data are outputted with a plurality of colors, and whether a predetermined character string an output color of which is indicated by a predetermined character code stored in the data storing part is included in the document data; a displaying part for displaying disagreement when a color expressed by a character code represented by an indicated color other than black included in the predetermined character string does not agree with a color for character printing; a print data creating part for creating print data by replacing the predetermined character code with a character code representing a color selected on the basis of the notice of the displaying part; and a character printing part for printing the created print data with a plurality of colors.
