PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new oxynitride glass fiber and a new method for manufacturing the oxynitride glass fiber.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an oxynitride glass fiber includes the following processes: a process for preparing a glass raw material composition containing the following composition; SiO:0-25 parts, AlO:5-15 parts, MgO:3-23 parts, CaO:25-50 parts, YO:0-15 parts; a process for adding SiN:5-30 parts to the glass raw material composition so that the total amount becomes 100 parts; and a process for melting the glass raw material composition to which SiNis added under a nitrogen atmosphere and spinning to obtain an oxynitride glass fiber (wherein the total weight of SiO, AlO, MgO, CaO and YOis 98%-100% of the weight of the glass raw material composition, the total amount of SiOand SiNis 30-40 parts, and parts each show weight parts). |
