PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chassis dynamometer for determining accurate rotational speed of a wheel and measuring the slip ratio.SOLUTION: The chassis dynamometer includes an imaging means consisting of a camera 7, or the like, for picking up an image of two markers 6 attached to a side surface of the wheel 5 of an automobile 1; a marker position detecting means 11 for detecting the positions of the two markers 6 in the image; a rotation-angle calculating means 12 for calculating the rotation angle of the wheel 5 from the positions of the two markers 6 and then calculating the rotation speed of the wheel 5; and a slip ratio calculating means 17 for calculating the slip ratio from a predetermined coefficient, the rotation angle of the wheel 5 and the rotation angle of the roller 3. |
