PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telop monitoring device capable of easily and exactly confirming send-out video.SOLUTION: The telop monitoring device includes a telop display selector 2, a telop appender 3, a face area detector 4, a character area detector 5, and a telop monitor 6. The telop display selector 2 can display a plurality of telops 1-n to be added to a telop-less material 100 and select a telop to be actually added from the plurality of displayed telops, The telop appender 3 appends the selected telop to the telop-less material 100. The face area detector 4 detects a face area of a person image from the telop-less material 100 and outputs face area extraction data 101. The character area detector 5 detects a character area from each of the plurality of telops 1-n and outputs character area extraction data 102. The telop monitor 6 inputs a material 200 with telops, the face area extraction data 101, and the character area extraction data 102. It is determined whether there is an overlap among telops selected by the telop display selector 2 or not and whether a character area overlaps over a face area of a person image at a telop or not. Then, the result is displayed on a monitor display. |
