PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon brush easy to manufacture, and, especially, for easily incorporating a process of forming a polishing element into a manufacturing method of manufacturing a brush body, as to one with a polishing mechanism integrated.SOLUTION: The polishing mechanism (25) of the carbon brush (20) has a contact structure moving relatively to the carbon brush, especially, a commutator of an electric motor in electric contact with a brush body (21) made of a carbon-content material. On a contact face (24) of the brush body (21) at a contact structure side, a polishing mechanism (25) is provided, equipped with cement (26) and abrasive grain (27) distributed. The abrasive grain (27) is arranged on the contact face by the cement (26). |
