PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fasten split outer rings to each other simply while inhibiting the increase of thickness of the outer ring.SOLUTION: The split outer rings 2 are fastened to each other by a connecting tool 5 provided with a bridge part 6 along the circumferential direction of the outer diameter surface of the split outer rings 2 and fastening pins 7. Springs 8 for the pins are interposed between the bridge part 6 and the pins 7. When the split outer rings 2 are fastened, the bridge part 6 of the connecting tool 5 is fitted along circumferential grooves 9 of the split outer rings 2 and the connecting tool 5 is made to slide along the circumferential grooves 9 in a state that the pins 7 are stored inside the bridge part 6 against an energizing force of the springs 8 for the pins. Then, when the position of fastening holes 10 formed in the split outer rings 2 and that of the pins 7 are matched, the pins 7 are automatically inserted into the fastening holes 10 by the energizing force of the springs 8 for the pins. Consequently, workability of the fastening work of the split outer rings 2 can significantly be improved. |
