PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polylactic acid-based resin-foamed particles having heat resistance without impairing formability, a degree of crystallinity of 20% or less, and a bulk density of 0.05-0.02 g/cm, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The polylactic acid-based resin-foamed particles, which have, for example, an isomer ratio of a lactic acid component (L-form/D-form) of 97/3 to 94/6 or 3/97 to 6/94, are foamed with water vapor having a temperature of from the crystal fusion starting temperature to the melting point +40°C of the polylactic acid-based resin-foamed particles as determined by differential scanning calorimetry. There are produced polylactic acid-based resin-foamed particles having a degree of crystallinity of 20% or less and a bulk density of 0.02-0.05 g/cmaccording to the method for producing the polylactic acid-based resin-foamed particles, wherein the degree of crystallinity is represented by formula 1: (degree of crystallinity Xc (%)=(heat of crystal fusion (ΔHm)-heat of crystallization (ΔHc))/93×100), in differential scanning calorimetry. |
