Systems and methods for remote surveillance and the applications therefor are described here. In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a system for remote surveillance. The system includes a surveillance device including a capturing unit, a local storage unit, and a location-sensor, a remote server coupled to the surveillance unit, and a user device coupled to the remote server. In one embodiment, when in operation, the surveillance device, via the capturing unit captures a recording of surrounding environment and events occurring therein for storage in the local storage unit with location data associated with the surrounding environment captured in the recording as determined by the location-sensor. Upon detection of a triggering event, the surveillance device automatically uploads in real time, the recording to the remote server. |
