PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a uniform film having water repellency.SOLUTION: A method for producing a film includes the steps of: forming an intermediate layer containing a compound represented by the following formula (1) on a resin layer containing a resin having a benzene ring in the structure; and forming a film containing a condensation product of a hydrolyzable silane compound containing the hydrolyzable silane compound having a fluorine-containing group on the intermediate film. A water-repellent film is formed on the surface of a discharge port forming member by the method for producing the film. In the formula (1), n is an integer of 0-3; and R represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group or a methyl group.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
