PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover developers of colors from developing units without mixing the developers of the colors by disposing developer storage parts in which the developers recovered from the developing units are divided at each color and stored and creating a printing pattern corresponding to the developer storage part of each color to recover the developers in developer recovery modes.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a plurality of developing units forming the developers of different colors; recovery units recovering the developers of the colors from the developing units through a transfer member; and a control part controlling the operation of the recovery mode for recovering the developers of the colors into the recovery unit from the developing units. The recovery unit has a plurality of developer storage parts divided at each color and the control part performs control to create a printing pattern corresponding to each developer storage part and recover the developers the colors into the recovery unit from the developing units in recovery modes. |
