PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing apparatus for preventing reception and processing of large data acquired based on a query string, thereby making it possible to prevent affecting another event notification or a registration request on the apparatus.SOLUTION: An MFP 101 analyzes an event notification destination registration request message received from a PC 102, determines whether or not notification destination URL information includes a character string indicating a query string according to the analysis, and determines whether or not to register a notification destination requested to be registered according to the determination. If the notification destination URL information includes a character string indicating a query string, the determination is made not to register the notification destination requested to be registered, and a reply indicating that the notification destination has not been registered is sent to the PC 102. |
