PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new combination of microbicidal agents, which exerts higher activity compared to those of the individual microbicidal agents.SOLUTION: A synergistic microbicidal composition includes (a) N-(n-butyl)-1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one; and (b) butylene glycol or caprylyl glycol, provided that the weight ratio of N-(n-butyl)-1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one to butylene glycol is from 1:1 to 1:5,000, and the weight ratio of N-(n-butyl)-1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one to caprylyl glycol is from 1:1 to 1:1,000. |
