PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker which is improved in insulation of the lid body containing a gruel cartridge and excellent in energy saving performance or the like.SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes a rice cooker body 1, an inner pan 2, a heating means 10 which heats the inner pan 2, a lid body 30 covering the inner pan 2 and a gruel cartridge 40 which is attached to the upper part of the lid body 30, separates gruel and steam generated within the inner pan 2 and discharges the steam to the outside, wherein the gruel cartridge 40 includes a lower case 40a which has an introductory tube 45 into which the steam out of the inner pan 2 flows, a gruel return tank 43, a hole 44 which returns the gruel into the inner pan 2 and a lower barrier 46 for separating the gruel, and an upper case 40b which has a steamy outlet 50 which discharges the steam to outside and upper barriers 51, 52 for separating the gruel. The gruel separating space is formed with the upper barriers 51, 52 and the lower barrier 46 and the horizontal and vertical dimensions of the gruel cartridge 40 is 2/3 or more of the horizontal and vertical dimensions of the lid body 30. |
