The present invention relates to a device for measuring the thickness of a tear line on a vehicle airbag cover, which includes a work stage provided with a work table for measuring the thickness of the tear line on the airbag cover of a vehicle crash pad, the device comprising: a fixing means which is disposed on said work table for securing said crash pad thereon; a movable means which is disposed between said work table and said fixing means and can move along the X- and Y-axes for measuring the thickness of the tear line of said crash pad; a measuring means for measuring the thickness of the tear line of said crash pad using a pair of laser sensors; and a control means for indicating the numerical value of the thickness of the tear line measured by said measuring means, controlling said measuring means for measuring the thickness of the tear line of said secured crash pad, and controlling the movement of said movable means for measuring said tear line. The use of laser radiation of the laser sensors for measuring remaining thicknesses of respective sections of the tear line formed on the air bag cover of the crash pad enables accurate determination as to whether or not products are defective, and consequently enables installation of non-defective products in a vehicle and smooth deployment of the airbag, thereby improving the driver's safety.
