PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner capable of normally cleaning a filter by preventing a panel from lowering during cleaning the filter.SOLUTION: The indoor unit 1 of the air conditioner has a case 2 having an intake 3, the panel 6 for opening and closing the intake 3, a panel moving mechanism 13, a filter 20, a brush 23 and a brush drive mechanism 60. The panel moving mechanism 13 has a motor 29 generating a drive force to move the panel 6, and reciprocates the panel 6 between a prescribed opening position and a closing position. The filter 20 is disposed in the case 2, and filtrates air introduced from the intake 3. The brush 23 is rotatably mounted to the panel 6 to clean the filter 20. The brush drive mechanism 60 is disposed in the case 2 and rotates and drives the brush 23. The motor 29 of the panel moving mechanism 13 is excited during the operation of the brush drive mechanism 60, so that the panel 6 is not moved by fixing the rotation of the motor 29, or the motor 29 is rotated in a direction to apply a force in the closing direction to the panel 6. |
