PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generator for sending out a wind at various modes.SOLUTION: Upon changing a vertical direction of a duct unit 50 mounted on a duct unit mounting part 32 in an electrostatic eliminator (ion generator), an air vent 43a of a ventilation mechanism 31 and an inlet 33a of an ion generation space 33 are connected by selectively using either of a duct 52 wherein a plurality of pins 56 for diffusing a wind to an internal space 52a in the right and left direction are formed and a duct 53 wherein the pin 56 is not formed in an internal space 53a. Then, the wind sent forward from the air vent 43a of the ventilation mechanism 31 is sent out from a blowing-out port 34a by passing through either of internal spaces 52a, 53a, the ion generation space 33, and a blowing-out flow passage 34. At this time, the ions generated with ion generation elements 74, 75 arranged in the ion generation space 33 are sent out from the blowing-out port 34a together with the wind by putting on the wind. |
