PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an α-SF salt (alpha-sulfo fatty acid alkyl ester salt) solid matter inhibited in gelation in water.SOLUTION: This α-sulfo fatty acid alkyl ester salt solid matter is obtained by incorporating (b) a water-soluble neutral inorganic salt into (a) an α-sulfo fatty acid alkyl ester salt by kneading, where the component (a) exists in 30-90 mass% and the component (b) exists in 8-60 mass%, and the total amount of (a) and (b) is 80-98 mass%, each based on total amount of the solid matter.
