PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal polyester powder which gives a molded body when the powder is subjected to press molding with addition of a filler, the molded body having excellent filler dispersibility and being sufficiently prevented from occurrence of variation in characteristics even when the body has a relative large size.SOLUTION: All the particles in the liquid crystal polyester powder pass through a sieve with a mesh size of 75 μm. The liquid crystal polyester powder preferably has a volume average particle size of 0.5-30 μm as measured by a laser diffraction and scattering method, and preferably has a fluidization initiation temperature of 280°C or higher.
