PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene open-cell foam of high expansion ratio, obtained by extrusion foaming a specific ethylene-based polymer with carbon dioxide which is a clean foaming agent, and to provide a production process therefor.SOLUTION: A polyethylene open-cell foam with 4-30 times expansion ratio and ≥90% open cell ratio, which includes an ethylene-based polymer having a density (d) of 935 kg/mor more, is used.
