PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device, wherein a light source and a photodetecting component are less likely to be deviated from the normal position of a pickup case; and to provide an optical disk reproducing device provided with the optical pickup device.SOLUTION: The optical pickup device 21 includes: an LD 28; a PD 29 which receives laser light which is outputted from the LD 28 and reflected by the surface of a CD 2; a plurality of optical components 40, 41, 42, 43, and 44 which guide the laser light from the LD 28 to the surface of the CD 2 and guides the laser light reflected by the surface of the CD 2 to the PD 29; and a pickup case 27 provided movably in the radial direction of the CD 2. The pickup case 27 is also provided to have the LD 28, PD 29, and multiple optical components, 40, 41, 42, 43 and 44 thereon. The pickup case 27 has at least either the LD 28 or PD 29 at a position between the outer peripheral surface of the pickup case 27 and a motor 38 to be mounted to the pickup case 27. |
