PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle rear body structure which uses a rear header to improve the rigidity of an opening part at the rear of a vehicle body while securing a head clearance, and which can be mounted with the retractor of a seat belt for a rear center seat.SOLUTION: The vehicle rear body structure includes the opening part 21 at the rear part of the vehicle body, the rear header 30 forming the upper edge of the opening part 21, and a back door 3 provided on the rear header 30 via a hinge 26 to be opened/closed in the vertical direction of a vehicle. The rear header 30 is provided at a position behind the hinge center of the hinge 26 in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and the retractor 40R of a seat belt device is arranged at a position near the rear header 30 frontward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. |
