PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of removing foreign matter on surface of conveyance roller by which the pressing-down and opening of a doctor blade disposed on each of a plurality of conveyance rollers arranged on a continuous treatment line of a steel strip is controlled by the whole conveyance roller, thereby the foreign matter is removed, and defective quality parts of the steel strip are reduced as a result.SOLUTION: In the method of removing foreign matter on surface of conveyance roller, in order to remove foreign matter 7 such as metal powder and dust attached to the plurality of conveyance rollers 6 disposed on the line for continuously treating the steel strip such as a hot dip galvanizing line, an electroplating line, a continuous annealing line and a coating line, the pressing-down and opening operation of the doctor blade 5 disposed on each conveyance roller and the suction operation of a suction device 12 for removing the foreign matter scraped off which is accumulated on a blade edge of the doctor blade and on the vicinity thereof are controlled in conjunction with the tracking of the steel strip during the conveyance. |
