PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulated wire excellent in heat resistance, resistance to impregnated vanish (chemical resistance), and flexibility.SOLUTION: This insulated wire includes an insulating layer to cover a conductor and the periphery thereof. The insulating layer contains a lower layer which is formed using a silicone modified engineering resin as a main component and which covers the conductor directly or through another resin layer, and an upper layer formed on the lower layer in contact with the lower layer. The upper layer is formed using at least one kind of a crystalline resin selected from a polyphenylene sulfide resin and a polyether ether ketone resin, as a main component.
