PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for reducing time required to complete a job with respect to a job preferably completed in as short a time period as possible by discharging a recording paper at a high speed without shifting discharge rollers, even when sorting for each job is set in an image forming apparatus in which the recording paper after image formation is sorted by roller shift method.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the pair of discharge rollers 18 axially slidably disposed at a downstream end of a conveyance path; a shift drive mechanism 19 for moving the pair of discharge rollers 18 to a home position and a shift position 34; and a printer controller which, when the sorting for each job is set, locates the pair of discharge rollers 18 at the home position if the job type of an executing job coincides with a speed priority job, and locates the pair of discharge rollers 18 at the shift position 34 if the job type does not coincide with the speed priority job. |
