A new approach is proposed that contemplates systems and methods to communicate composite data messages using conventional messaging systems, particularly email systems, while preserving the integrity of the composite data messages without losing any information in the messages. More specifically, the structured data in a composite data message from a sender is serialized and converted into image data, where the resulting image data encodes the structured data. The converted image data is then attached to the free text portion of the composite data message as an embedded image to form a recomposed message. The recomposed message is then communicated to one or more recipients through a heterogeneous messaging environment comprising of one or more collaborating messaging systems. Upon receiving the second recomposed message, each recipient reconstructs the composite data message by converting the embedded image data into structured data. |
