METHOD FOR MOVING AN ICE REMOVING TOOL ALONG AN OVERHEAD POWER TRANSMISSION CABLE AND A DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT SAID METHOD (VARIANTS)

A method for moving an ice removing tool along an overhead power transmission cable is carried out using the effect of the electromagnetic field of said power transmission cable. A movement means comprises a levitation coil and at least one permanent magnet, between which attractive and repulsive forces are alternately generated in such a way that the movement means and an ice removing tool connected thereto can move translationally along the cable. A device for carrying out the proposed method comprises a body that is designed to be mounted on the power transmission cable and is provided with a movement means and a power supply. In a first embodiment of the device, the movement means comprises a movable module, which is capable of moving relative to the body, and a levitation coil that interacts with said movable module and is provided with a power supply, the levitation coil being immovably fixed to the body. Furthermore, the movable module comprises at least one permanent magnet and a fixing means which is designed to interact with the cable. In a second embodiment of the device, the movable module of the movement means comprises at least one levitation coil with a power supply, and a fixing means, and interacts with at least one permanent magnet immovably fixed to the body. The use of the invention makes it possible to increase the performance and reduce the overall dimensions, weight and power consumption of the device, as well as to exclude the possibility of mechanical damage to power transmission cables.
