PURPOSE: An emergency escaping apparatus is provided to completely shut off the inflow of a poisonous gas and the spreading of fire by directly closing an upper door. CONSTITUTION: A vertical opening-type exit(1a) is prepared in the inner side of a main body(1), and an upper door(2) and a lower door(3) opens and closes the upper and lower portions of the exit. If the lower door is opened, an escapee take shelter to downstairs through a ladder(4). A door opening/closing unit(5) directly closes the upper door, and a door opening unit(6) opens the lower door. An emergency lighting(7) emits the peripheral lighting in the case of blackout. A lifting member(8) ascends and descends between the body and the upper door.
