PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical management system and a chemical management method, for reducing time and effort in inventory check or in confirmation of a weight of a chemical, and automatically correcting or updating information about the chemical, without requiring a network for managing the chemical.SOLUTION: In the chemical management system and chemical management method, the weight of the chemical stored in a storage container is calculated, and information about the weight of the chemical is written into an IC tag stuck onto the storage container. The chemical management system includes: the storage container with the IC tag attached thereto, storing the chemical; a weighing means measuring the weight of the storage container after storing the chemical; and an IC tag writer writing the weight of the chemical calculated by a computer into the IC tag based on the weight of the storage container after storing the chemical measured by the weighing means and a previously acquired weight of the storage container before storing the chemical. |
