PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose an image reading part on the upper face of an image forming part with spacing in a cantilever shape by a more simple configuration, by fixing a support body, which supports the image reading part, to the side plate of the housing of an image forming part while preventing a force from being applied to a narrow range on the side plate.SOLUTION: In a first support post 500, a first support part 502 is fixed to the side plate 402 and a second support part 504, which extends in horizontal direction, is fixed to a box part 410 fixed to the side plate 402. Thus, the box part 410 also supports the image reading part 200 integrally with the first support post 500. Therefore, since the image reading part 200 is supported by a wide area including a triangular area composed of the first support part 502 and second support part 504, and a square area of the box part 410, the distortion of the side plate 402 is hard to be generated though the first support post 500 is fixed to the side plate 402. Accordingly, degradation in image quality resulting from the distortion of the housing 400 of the image forming part 100 is prevented though the first support post 500 is fixed to the side plate 402. |
