PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball capable of achieving advantages of a hard ball without impairing the controllability.SOLUTION: The golf ball includes a single layer core and a cover layer disposed around the single layer core. The single layer core further includes an inner core region disposed around the geometric center, an outer core region and an intermediate core region at least about 2 mm apart from the outer surface. The inner core region has a first hardness (IC), the outer core region has a second hardness (OC), and the intermediate core region has a third hardness (IMC) and a fourth hardness (IMC). The relationships in the hardness are represented by: (IMC)<(IC), (IMC)<(OC), (IMC)>(IC) and (IMC)>(OC). The outer surface has a hardness (OS), and the geometric center has a hardness (GC) represented by the relationship (OS)>(GC) to define a positive hardness gradient. |
