PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment, a communication system, a communication method, and a program capable of shortening a switching time at the receiving side of a plurality of HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) signals.SOLUTION: A receiving part 410 includes: a plurality of receivers 431-0 to 431-k-1 which receive a plurality of multimedia signals; a plurality of authentication circuits 431-0 to 431-k-1 which authenticate the received signals received by the plurality of receivers; at least one transmitter 435 which transmits the signals authenticated by the authentication circuits to a processing part of a subsequent stage; a fist multiplexer 434 which supplies the received signals to the plurality of authentication circuits; and a second multiplexer 436 which supplies output signals of the plurality of authentication circuits to the transmitter. In the plurality of authentication circuits, one authentication circuit authenticates a multimedia signal which is received by the receiver and selected at present, and the remaining authentication circuits perform authentication for non-selected multimedia signals other than the multimedia signal which is selected in a background. |
