PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tracking control device and a tracking control method, capable of suppressing abrupt change in vehicle behavior that accompanies changes in accuracy as a tracking object of a target.SOLUTION: A tracking control device 1 calculates the degree of possibility that the target is a tracking subject as a tracking subject probability, based on information on the target existing in front of own vehicle, and reduces a target inter-vehicle distance to the target as the calculated tracking subject probability is lower. |
