PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new methylthiophene carboxanilide that controls harmful microbes in crop protection and material protection, and a plurality of production methods thereof.SOLUTION: There are provided a methylthiophene carboxanilide compound represented by the formula that has strong antimicrobial activity and can be used for controlling undesirable microbes such as fungi and bacteria in protecting crops and various materials, and production methods thereof.
