PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a conventional mechanical scanning type ultrasonic probe increases in the weight and size since a liquid chamber is provided.SOLUTION: A transducer unit 24 includes a unit body 25 and gel 36 provided at the lower end of the unit body. The transducer unit 24 makes oscillating movements, and the lower surface 36A of the gel 36 makes close contact with the inner surface 22B of a contact wall 22 at each movement position. The gel 36 shows properties such as shape-retaining properties (elasticity), wettability, low frictional properties, and chemical stability. A structure for replacing the gel 36 may be provided, or a biasing structure to bring the gel 36 into closer contact with the inner surface 22B may be employed. |
